Typical George W.

OK, my blog is not all about America, and I certainly don’t dislike Americans (just Republicans), but I have to think that Bush, (not the people of New Orleans, God bless and help them), reaps what he sows. It did not make the news at all down there, but a NAFTA panel ruled that Bush’s duties on Canadian softwood lumber break the North American Free Trade Agreement, and ordered them to repay 5 billion dollars in illegally collected taxes. Bush, the cocky little twit just said “no.” Hello you little waste of skin, we have a signed agreement. It’s like buying a car, then, after taking possession you tell the dealer, “thanks for the car but I am not paying for it.” Then when the dealer wins in court, because of course the law is the law, you just tell the court “no.” What would happen? Contempt of court? Prison? Remember Manuel Noriega? Doesn’t phase Dubbaya.

Canada entered this agreement with the US to benefit both of us, but so far Canada keeps getting screwed. We have oil, “please send all that you can.” We have cows “oh the dreaded mad cow disease, keep them away despite the fact we’ve had our own home grown cases.” Canada has cheaper prescription drugs, “please send those to the US, but keep your lumber, we have our own.” That is not free trade that is selective trade.

Now here is the kicker. The evil Canadian lumber that Bush is so set against is now being donated to the people left homeless by Katrina. To build 200,000 new homes is going to require huge resources that the US cannot meet. Come on people, this is Canada here; we’ve got trees and billions of them. So is Bush going to continue with his illegal duties to punish the victims even more, or will he just let in the lumber that Canada donates?

Remember Canadian search and rescue were in St. Bernard Parish 5 days before the US rescue officials.

I was wondering perhaps if we beleagered Americans could ask the Canadian Government to invade us. I have it on good authority that there are weapons of mass destruction all over the place down here. Our troops are all bogged down in exotic locales like Iraq and New Orleans, so you wouldn't meet much resistance. I do have to warn you thought that alot of our less educated citizens think God is always on OUR side, so I would get U.N. and Vatican Approval first. A promise of an endless supply of lumber should do the trick.

Good post, dude, I like your style.
